Common questions

How do I change the way the text looks?

Tap AA in the top right while reading. Typeface, size, weight, line and paragraph spacing, letter spacing, margins, first-line indent, justification and hyphenation are all there, with a live preview at the top of the sheet.

How do I compare translations?

Tap any verse and choose Compare translations. To compare a longer passage, select across several verses and choose Compare Verses from the menu that appears. Use the − and + buttons to widen or narrow the passage.

How do I turn off the red lettering?

Tap AA, scroll to Verses, and switch off Words of Christ in red.

My notes are not syncing between devices

Check that both devices are signed in to the same iCloud account and that iCloud Drive is on. Sync also needs a network connection and can take a moment to catch up after a change.

How do I get my notes out of the app?

Open Library, pick Highlights, Notes or Bookmarks, then tap the share button in the top right to export a PDF.

Which translations are included?

The Berean Standard Bible, the King James Version and the American Standard Version — all public domain, all included in full, all available offline.

Does it work without a connection?

Yes. Every verse and the search index are inside the app. Only iCloud sync needs a network.
